Caodaism

Caodaism (Dao Cao Dai) is a syncretic monotheistic religion which combines elements of many world religions including Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism, Taoism, Judaism, Islam and Christianity, as well as the traditional religious beliefs indigeneous to Vietnam.

There are believed to be around 7 or 8 million followers of Caodism in Vietnam. Additionally, the Vietnamese diaspora has brought the religion to other countries, and adherents of the religion can also be found in a number of other countries including Australia, Canada, Europe and the United States of America.
